COVID-19 UPDATES FOR MORBID NORTH CUSTOMERS >>
"IN THE 21ST CENTURY, SUSTAINABILITY REFERS GENERALLY TO THE CAPACITY FOR THE BIOSPHERE AND HUMAN CIVILIZATION TO COEXIST."

Sustainability

This ball we live on is a sturdy fortress for life as we know it but, like most things, it tends to wear away. Companies have only started to realize that going for the lowest price on every step in the production chain might be the worst idea ever conceived as it's bad for workers, quality of the product, and the environment.

Morbid North was established by knowing and accepting the fact that, in order to gain longevity, a business must act in a sustainable manner. We refuse to hide behind empty phrases while seeing no further than the next quarter's profit margins. Instead, our goal is to be a good collective, one that thinks of the consequences of every action and is ready to retcon past decisions if they prove to be a burden. We aim for minimal carbon footprint by making our products on-demand, and by using long-lasting materials and high-quality production tech. With suppliers in both Europe and the USA we can ensure shorter delivery distances on both sides of the Atlantic.

While we strive to keep our products 100 % sweatshop free, and logistics as ecologically friendly as possible, we do not wish to overlook social responsibilities. That is why we donate 0.20 € to charity from each sold product, and for the year 2020 we have chosen to support Mieli - Mental Health Finland, a non-governmental organization promoting good mental health on all levels of society. Additionally, returned items are handed off to local organizations supporting the homeless.

Ultimately we want to set a good example through our actions and keep this ball of ours sustaining us long enough that someday Morbid North can manufacture and ship products in humanity's off-world colonies. Still in a sustainable manner, of course.
